Neurorehabilitation
In neurorehabilitation, we specialise in treating patients with traumatic or illness-related brain damage. These impairments affect many different human functions to varying degrees, including motor skills, speech, consciousness and mental ability. The team in charge is also frequently faced with additional challenges in the form of behavioural disorders.
The interprofessional cooperation between medicine, care and treatment in ward-based teams makes it possible to optimally “reach out” to patients while accompanying and supporting them on the often long path to recovery. They can then steadily improve their everyday skills, achieving the best possible reintegration into social and, whenever possible, occupational life.
